Mina Clavero is located in the Traslasierra Valley (elev. 850m) on the western side of the province of Cordoba. The town is 150 km west from the city of Cordoba and 870 km from the city of Buenos Aires. The city of Cordoba, one of the main colonial cities of the country, is currently the second most important industrial center in Argentina. The city´s population is 1,800,000.

The Sierras Pampeanas mountain ranges cover one third of the province and are a key tourist attraction. The primary range is the Sierras Grandes de Cordoba, located on the eastern side of Mina Clavero.

Traslasierra Valley is one of the most untouched regions in the Cordoba ranges. Traslasierra offers a beautiful environment with clear skies, pure air and native vegetation. Numerable streams descend from the ranges and cross the valley, forming the rivers Mina Clavero, Rugapampa, Panaholma and Nono. All of these unit to form the Rio Los Sauces with its huge sand courses, and whose waters give birth to La Viña dam. Rio Los Sauces partially circles the Subud Center.

Traslasierra is very involved in the growing trend of ecotourism. Mina Clavero offers many tours, horse riding in the ranges, natural swimming pools, hiking, mountain biking, parasailing, etc.
